Alex Vega is a Senior Product Designer at Cisco

Hi I’m Alex, a New York native turned Alabama transplant by way of Seattle through Los Angeles (...it's a long story, ask me about it sometime.)

As a designer on the Design Architecture team of Cisco IT Design, my job is to evangelize, teach, and scale modern design system workflows at Cisco for the production and delivery of reliably stellar enterprise experiences.

Previously in another role at Cisco, I worked on UX enhancements and future vision strategy for enterprise agreements and end-to-end product design for the CX Cloud platform and partner route-to-market solutions.

Before that, as a senior design consultant at Deloitte Digital, I led UX and UI design for mobile and web apps, design systems, responsive website designs, and SaaS products for clients including Marriott International, Cisco, AT&T, Bose, and Google. Prior to that, I co-founded and led design vision and strategy for two businesses, executed UX/UI design for a website development firm, and served as in-house creative for an online test preparation platform.

My methodology and approach stem from my traditional print graphic design education and work experience at a nonprofit design firm in New York City after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2008.

I love dancing, playing the drums, and traveling.
